Fan Expo Philadelphia 2026: DeLorean Time Machine's Biggest Year Yet

Four years at Fan Expo Philadelphia, and 2026 was the biggest one yet — by a lot.

Thousands of fans came through the Philadelphia Convention Center over the weekend, and by the time load-out was done on Sunday, we had hit our highest turnout and best revenue numbers since I started bringing the DeLorean Time Machine to this event. Year four, and it keeps getting better.

The Weekend Almost Started and Ended in Disaster

Load-in on Thursday came with an unexpected wrinkle. Apparently showing up to a convention center with just over a quarter tank of gas is a capital offense. I do not make the rules. We got it sorted, but it was one of those moments where you just laugh and shake your head.

Sunday topped that. Right before the loading dock opened, the Time Machine's battery decided it was done. Dead. I sprinted out to my truck, grabbed the jump pack, and got the car running with maybe thirty seconds to spare. The drive home had its own entertainment — a flipped car sitting on top of a truck on the highway. Never a dull moment with this car.

200+ Fans in the Driver's Seat

The best part of Fan Expo Philadelphia is always the people. Over the weekend, more than 200 fans climbed into the driver's seat for photo ops, and the reaction never gets old. There's a look people get the first time they sit behind that wheel — pure joy. Every single time.

Four Years In, No Signs of Slowing Down

This was my fourth consecutive year at Fan Expo Philadelphia, and if the crowd energy in 2026 was any indication, year five is going to be something. The DeLorean Time Machine draws a different kind of attention at a convention — it's not just a prop, it's an experience people remember.
